A Monster Calls, based on the novel by Patrick Ness, inspired by an original idea by Siobhan Dowd
devised by Sally Cookson, Adam Peck and the original company
directed by Odette Abbasi
Thirteen-year-old Conor O’Malley is haunted by the same dream every night. But tonight is different. Tonight at seven minutes past twelve, there is a visitor at Conor’s window. It is ancient, elemental, a force of nature: it is a monster. And apparently it desires the most dangerous thing Conor possesses: the truth. Performed by a cast of fourth and fifth form actors, A Monster Calls navigates a series of fantastical tales, taking Conor on a journey of wonder, courage and acceptance.
The play runs for three nights on Thursday 19 June, Friday 20 June, and Saturday 21 June.
