The Topical Tuesdays series sees guests speakers from the St Paul’s Community share their take on the current environment.

For this Topical Tuesdays talk, hosted by the High Master, we will hear from current parent, Dr Marina Sapritsky-Nahum.

Dr Marina Sapritsky-Nahum is a social anthropologist and author of Jewish Odesa: Negotiating Identities and Traditions in Contemporary Ukraine.  She is a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the University College London (UCL), currently working as a researcher on an interdisciplinary project sponsored by the German Research Foundation (DFG) focused on Jewish Heritage in Europe and Ukrainian Jewish refugee experiences in Berlin.

Marina will talk about her own fieldwork and the changing state of her field site affected by the war in Ukraine.
