The Old Pauline Rugby Club (officially known as the 'Old Pauline Football Club' because that's how things were done in those days) was founded in 1871 and is the oldest 'old boys' rugby club in existence.  The club is based at Thames Ditton (near Hampton Court) and matches are played throughout the season from September to April.

We would be delighted to see more Old Paulines playing in all our six regular teams and can promise enjoyable and competitive rugby at an excellent ground with superb facilities.

All teams compete in League and Merit Table competitions and we welcome new players of all abilities.  Lifts can be arranged to home and away matches.

School leavers are especially welcome and many current players had their first taste of Old Pauline rugby in their gap year or while they were at university.  We enter a team in the national Under 21 festival for 'old boys' clubs (held on the first Sunday in September) and also arrange special matches for students in the Christmas and Easter holidays. The season is rounded off with a tour at Easter, often overseas and always supported with a full programme of social activities.

Training takes place throughout the season (pre-season starts in July).  Details can be found on our web site -

If you are interested in playing rugby for the Old Paulines - at whatever level and degree of seriousness - then email John Barrett (OPFC club captain).
