Atrium’s crossword designer Lorie Church (1992-97) has built the 2020 Mind Sports Olympiad Cryptic Crossword event:

It is free to enter (with a discretionary donation to running costs) and awards medals in adult and junior categories.
Lorie is hoping to establish cryptic crosswording as a viable mind sport alongside Chess, Go and Catan.
He suggests that all should be able to do puzzles 1-3, with 4 a bit trickier.
The competition is open between 8.30pm on Thursday 26 August and 8.30pm on Friday 27 August.
