As we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Old Pauline Club, we have decided to look to the future. We are modernising and updating the Club, hoping to attract greater involvement from Old Paulines across the ages.
The Future of… series will highlight and share with our community important discussions about the future direction of Britain. A number of eminent Old Paulines, who have generously agreed to volunteer their time, will discuss this future and talk frankly on a number of topics. What will happen in British politics over the next ten years? What will change about Britain’s place in the world? What is the future of key public services like healthcare and education? What does the future hold for the business sector and the arts?
This event will be held in a hybrid format – if you would like to attend the event in person, there will be a soft drinks reception at 6.30pm, followed by the interview at 7.00pm. Tickets are available to book for £10 here.

Speakers:
Matthew Gould OP, 1984-89, is the CEO of NHSX, the NHS’s digital transformation arm, where he is responsible for the largest digital transformation programme in the world. He was previously the British Ambassador to Israel (2010-2015) and the Government’s cyber-security chief. NHSX is the body which oversees digital policy and programmes in NHS England.
