Feast Service 2023

We welcomed over 130 Old Paulines, Upper Eighth pupils, parents and staff to the Feast Service Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral and Supper at Mercers’ Hall on Monday 6 February.

This annual tradition provides a wonderful opportunity for members of the St Paul’s community to meet, socialise and celebrate the history of the School and its relationship to the Mercers’ Company.

Following Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral, sung by the Chapel Choir of St Paul’s School and Recital Choir of St Paul’s Juniors, guests walked to Mercers’ Hall for a reception, where they were welcomed by Adam Fenwick, Master Mercer.

The traditional Rare Book Donation was made to the school by the Old Pauline Club President, Lord Vaizey of Didcot. This year, the OPC has chosen to make a donation to conserve two important books in the school’s rare books collection. The donation was accepted by Hilary Cummings, Librarian of the school’s Kayton Library, who shared more information about the history of the two books due to be conserved.

The High Master then gave a speech to the guests, following which all went upstairs for the buffet supper. Noah Zhou (2014-19) performed a short piano recital as guests took their seats.
