Representatives of the Old Pauline AFC were delighted to collect two awards at the 2023 Amateur FA Recognition Awards ceremony on 21 June.
The Wilkinson Sword Award is given in recognition of those clubs exhibiting the ethos of the Amateur FA, reflecting the efforts of all team members in playing the game fairly and in the right spirit.
Grounds Team of the Year was awarded to Graham Godfrey, thanks to his tireless work over the past 30 years in maintaining the excellent pitches at Colets. The award is also testament to the work of Assistant Groundman, Alex Harris, who sadly died earlier this year.
