Dr Alastair Darwood (2006-11) has invented Skarper, a novel disk brake system for ebikes.
Skarper drives the bike via the rear disc brake, transforming any bike into a high performance eBike and back again in a matter of seconds.
Alastair is now working with Sir Chris Hoy and Red Bull to develop the concept. The system has already received positive press coverage and we look forward to watching the progress of the company over the coming months.
