The crews for this year’s Boat Race have been announced and we’re delighted to report that three Old Paulines are included in the draft.
The Parish brothers, Ollie (2014-2019) and Jasper (2016-21), are both representing Cambridge: Ollie as Stroke for the Men’s crew, and Jasper as the Cox for the Women’s. Ollie Parish was also part of last year’s winning Cambridge crew.
In the Oxford Men’s boat, we’ll be able to cheer for David Ambler (2011-2016) who will sit in the two seat. David was part of the School’s Spotlight on Sport: Rowing Panel virtual event last year, hosted by Suzanne Mackenzie and still available to view on the School’s virtual recordings page (the video can be found under the ‘Spotlight on Sport’ section).
We wish the Pauline rowers all the best as they undergo the gruelling training programmes required for “the most intense physical and mental experience in the world of rowing”[1].
